Momentum & Milestones
By 2023, everything was clicking. I had refined every part of the experience—tour options, knowledge of the bay, customer service—and it showed. I grew a strong following on Instagram, broke our all-time daily earnings record, and for the fourth year in a row, our revenue climbed.
Then, midway through the summer, the engine broke down. We were out of the water for two weeks during peak season. Stressful? Hugely. But thanks to a fast repair and loyal customers, we bounced back quickly.
We added decals to the boat with help from a local sign company, and continued to offer our most popular experiences—sunrise tours (still the only operator in the bay offering them), lighthouse cruises, wildlife safaris, and the increasingly popular island hopper and beach drop tours.
That summer, a couple from Pennsylvania wrote, "We didn’t expect the impact of seeing the sun rise over the Atlantic... It’s truly unforgettable." Comments like that remind me why I do this.
Despite the engine setback, 2023 was a breakout year that proved how resilient and beloved our business had become.
